Adventure, Challenge and Surprise in the High Mountains of the World

Share an evening with three adventurers who have summited Mt. Everest, trekked and climbed around the world, while photographing the beauty along the way. David Breashears, renowned filmmaker, adventurer, author and mountaineer; Wally Berg, a world-class guide and expedition leader; and Mingmar Dorji Sherpa, climbing Sherpa for Peak Promotion Nepal; share their experiences.

Due to a family emergency, David Breashears will NOT be speaking at Our Lifetimes of Adventure, Challenge and Surprise in the High Mountains of the World this Saturday, January 26, 5:30 to 7 p.m., at Penn State Great Valley. The event will be held as scheduled with two close climbing collegues of David Brashear's speaking and showing photos of their adventures around the world: .
- Mingmar Dorji Sherpa, climbing Sherpa for Peak Promotion Nepal and a mountaineering and journalist reporter for Nepal television. Mingmar has worked with David Breashears for over 15 years as a technical film advisor.
- Wally Berg, founder of Berg International, a world-class guide, educator and expedition leader and a climbing colleque of David Breashears.
The speakers will also talk about David Breashears work with his organization GlacierWorks, a non-profit organization that vividly illustrates the changes to Himalayan glaciers through art, science, and adventure.
